Approach

Cory recognizes that every client, community, and Northern opportunity is different. He begins each engagement by understanding the client’s objectives, organizational capacity, stakeholders, risks and desired outcomes.

Drawing on decades of Northern experience, Cory provides practical and tailored advice that reflects the realities of working in the Northwest Territories—including geography, logistics, government processes, regional differences, community priorities and available capacity.

Whether he is advising a business entering the Northern market or representing a community delivering an infrastructure project, Cory emphasizes informed decision-making, clear communication, respectful engagement and achievable results.

This hands-on and client-focused approach guides the services Cory delivers through CORVAN Consultants.

Philosophy

Cory believes successful Northern development begins with listening, respect, local knowledge and meaningful participation.

Having lived and worked in the Northwest Territories throughout his life, Cory understands that the North is not a single market. It is a diverse collection of regions, communities, governments, cultures and economies, each with its own priorities, relationships and ways of working.

Cory believes organizations are most successful when they take the time to understand these distinctions and approach Northern opportunities with humility, patience and a genuine commitment to building relationships.

Through CORVAN Consultants, Cory helps clients connect their objectives with Northern priorities while promoting partnerships and project outcomes that create lasting local value.
